Student Senate Meets: During Seminar every Tuesday and Thursday in the LGI Room
The purpose of West Ottawa High School student government shall be to promote the welfare of the students, to express the opinions and concerns of the student body, and to work to enhance and improve the school climate as they interact with the faculty, administration, and community of West Ottawa High School.

Class Elections
In order to be a part of Student Senate, students must be a elected as either a Class Officer or a Class Senator. Each class has teachers that are there to serve as Class Advisers.
Student Senate elections are held at the High School in the Spring and at the Middle Schools for incoming Freshmen. Student Senate meets occasionally in the summer to prepare for Homecoming Week. If you are interested in being part of Student Senate, be sure to look for announcements in the Spring about elections.
